When life throws you Sundays, head for a bao.
I stumbled upon this one at the Wok Express which has recently launched a bao section to their menu. Let’s just say, I’d like to kiss them for it.
The Eggplant Tempura Bao was sheer gorgeousness. Crispy, fried slivers of eggplant topped with chili mayo enclosed shyly in a bao that was a soft as a baby’s bottom. The humbleness of the eggplant and the sweetness of the bao made me want to happily squiggle.
I am heading for another one this weekend.
